MTG – Orlando – “College Park 12 Step”

WHAT I LEARNED: 1. A few paradoxes of the Al-Anon program:

A) Letting go takes a lot of work;

B) Being powerless gives me power;

C) Helping can harm.

2. There are 3 levels of detachment: middle-finger, neutral, & loving!Heart

  1. Middle finger I haven’t tried, that’s one to consider 🙂 thanks Pat you make me smile

    • The examples given were: 1) Middle-Finger: The alcoholic passes out on the front lawn, you turn on the sprinklers & go back to sleep. 2) Neutral: You skip the sprinklers & just go back to sleep. 3) Loving: You bring out a blanket to put over the alcoholic & then go back to sleep. 😉
